Go through any comments that the editor has added and amend the text. If there are any points raised by the editor that you wish to have clarified, please contact us and we'll contact the editor of your paper.

Yes, we do edit references, and this is included as part of both of our English Language Editing services. References count towards the total word count unless you choose to exclude them. References are edited to comply with the correct format of your chosen journal. However, our editors will not change the actual format of the references, for example, from Harvard to Vancouver style.
If you'd like your references edited, we recommend you remove reference management software such as Mendeley or Endnote before you upload your manuscript. We cannot guarantee that editors will have the correct software to edit your references using these programs. Editing them without this software would result in any changes being overwritten if the references are regenerated later.
Please review the instructions for authors for your target journal, to ensure you've followed their guidelines exactly.
If you have any questions, please contact us for advice. We're here to help you get your paper published.

We reserve the right to charge for further re-editing if the changes are extensive or have been made to comply with the guidelines of a different target journal.
